Yhe problem for the 'stop all attachments' crowd is that there are legitimate attachments that also wouldn't run.
The user still has to decide whether ir not to run the app, even promped for root password.

If you expect a WMP tutorial, Monti wants people to download and install it first.
It would be just another ReadMe that people would ignore.

Email needs some re-engineering at the SMTP level.
All these files have signatures that once recognized as nefarious, should not be relayed.
