Telnet
My money is on the linux box getting 0wned first. How can it not when the telnet service is left running on a default install?

Which Linux Distro are you talking about?

My Mandriva Distro telnet client installed, but not a telnet server. The telnet client is telnet-client-krb5, described as "A telnet-client with kerberos support". Not installed but available is telnetd, described as "A extremely unsecure telnet server". Also uninstalled, but available is telnet-server-krb5, described as "A telnet-server with kerberos support"

Now, the only reason I can think of for the telnet client is to connect to a Windows OS. I can think of no reason why I would install either of the telnet servers.
