I think it'd be more instructive
to the masses if was a race per platform. IOW, one contest to hack the Mac, one on windows and a 3rd on linux. Whether one is broken into more quickly than another is great for a cash reward, but showing the masses that they're all vulnerable (assuming all are hacked) is far more important, especially for those that think their OS is invincible. Windows user haven't had that illusion for a long time. Certain *nix users still tend to think they're invincible and most Mac users seem to think they're borderline invincible.

Of course if the hackers keep going, even after the first system is hacked, then all is well.
