I fully agree, just yesterday a user called me.

and asked if she could open this file she received from someone she didn't know. Mind you this sender was the corporate office, and wasn't a virus, but the users do this kind of thing all the time. Curiosity killed the cat, and now a days the networks, home pc's, etc. Users themselves don't give a damn if we have to work overtime to fix what they have screwed up, they think all of us IT folks are taking money away from the company anyway. You know how many times I get told i'm paid too much because i spent the money that these engineering groups bring into the company. To this comment I usually retort, "if it weren't for the IT group, you all wouldn't be making any money due to the fact that you're all computer stupid and would bring this network to a screaming halt due to the fact that you are all idiots who open anything and everything sent to them from people you don't know." Doesn't get me the greatest look from them, but I think they know whose right.
