People are NOT the weakest link anymore.
That was when virus, worm, and spyware writers relied on the user being gullable or careless and clicking on a link or opening a file. They don't depend on that anymore. You can blame ignorant users for not keeping their PCs patched or using a good firewall (preferably hardware) but how is the ordinary user supposed to be apprised of these measures, unless they are proactive about security, which most are not. As a result, millions of home users are running wide-open broadband ZOMBIES.

Who doesn't know somebody who complains about how bad their PC is running and problems they're having. Geez, I know plenty of programmers who are clueless.
