UK privacy not so great
Is this the same Data Protection Act that didn't give the Information Commissioner the powers he needed to audit companies and Government agencies/departments who breach the law? Is this the same Act that whilst allowing citizens access to information stored about them, they must make a subject access request each time which costs up to ?50 ($100) per request?

The UK may have strict privacy laws, but they don't go far enough and don't give the ICO and citizens the power to control information held about them. What is even more frightening are further proposals by Gordon the Moron for a compulsory ID card, identity database, DNA database and to share identity data with all EU states. Whilst I am all for a united Europe, I really don't want any security or police officials in Eastern European countries having access to my personal data.
