It figures...
That somebody would bring up the market share argument for not writing virii for the MAC or Linux.
The real reason is very simple, script kiddies cannot get the tools needed to generate an attack on these OSs.
This is due to the fact that MACs and Linux actually need brainpower to cook up an exploit. Just about any fool can code a Windows virus just because Windows is an inherently open single-user OS. Linux and MAC OS-X are inherently multi-user and are thus "safer" from malicious code.
But as MS loses market share (and it does/will), the virii writers will turn to Linux or MAC OS-X. But only the very good writers will survive...Put it this way, I wouldn't buy stocks in a virus writing company after the fall of Windows.
