Simply 'anti-Ignorance and Idiocy', not 'anti-American'?

Dear Old War Vet,

Only Americans think that America is the best nation on the planet. This is because
Americans live insular lives, are bombarded by self-glorifying propaganda, and
usually only venture outside its own borders to 'install democracy' (by force) in
countries that it deems a 'threat to its own interests', usually employing the US
armed forces by the hundreds of thousands (hence so many 'Old War Vets)?

America is a police state ruled by an idiot who promotes fear and paranoia, and
who doesn't know that you can solve any problems through the power of
negotiation. To be fair, I could maybe suggest any number of other nations that
could bear the title as 'best nation on the planet', such as Australia, Brazil, Sweden,
South Africa, Namibia, or even Canada.

You, Old War Vet, are typical of American intolerance to anything that doesn't fit
your 'American' view of the world, and you are equally eager to threaten someone
whose opinion is probably a lot more enlightened than your own.

As for the issue at hand, if someone commits a crime, whether he is in IT or an
elected government official, he should be treated equally under the law, and be
responsible and accountable for his actions.

Whew! It is very taxing trying to speak to nitwits?
