Fear the ad farms
I may trust a particular website by name, but what I don't trust at times is the advertisement tied to their pages. A coworkers antivirus stopped at least one vendor page's attempt to infect his PC whenever he navigated to their homepage, and another had issues with a popular news website, and I blame the images (advertisements) that were on those pages.
