My DVD player allows me to watch avi etc
So it would not be out of order to check the DVD software plays media files other than physical DVD's.

Anyway, I am surprised all the posts about people?s right to privacy while taking their PC in for repair / upgrade. IANAL, but it seems taking the right to privacy and extending it to wherever the offending material may be seems a good way to keep offenders on the streets. Unfortunately paedophiles have more rights than their victims who seem to have no rights that the images of them being victimised can be made available to others without their consent.

While some protection must be in place to protect the rights of innocent people, I cannot understand how it remains private information by taking it into a public area and allowing access to unknown people. There seems to be no argument the guy is guilty, only arguments that he should get away with it!
