- Prediction: M$Bozo's job is to spike any "harmful" advisories re M$ bugware
-
AND, despite OSS being integral to the Internet's
running, to it's security, and the ability of US and other
businesses to transact via the Net - this IS about the
Internet, right? - there are no designated OSS guys
involved. What a surprise... not.
I mean, look, I understand the status quo that's existed
since Village Idiot Dumb'ya and his cronies took over.
Airport security ideas are largely a bad joke (flown
lately?), and "US Gub'mint Cybersecurity" is an
oxymoron, judging from our having several thousand
"Cybersecurity Czars" in the last few months, alone
.
SO, this is the Bushies' classic limp-wristed,
thumb-up-you-know-where approach to security. G-d
forbid the Bushies would hold any of their biz friends
RESPONSIBLE or ACCOUNTABLE to their
stockholders/customers/public for their security
inadequacies. Nah!
Better yet, put the World's largest Predatory Monopolist
and largest producer of insecure software on board,
where M$'s interests - not yours or the US's - can be
protected. How many meaningful debates about M$'s
crapware will get derailed, defused by M$? I'm not
worried about Oracle, Sun or the others, but M$ has
NOT, up till now, considered security issues (among
others) anything but trivial. I think, judging from
REAL-WORLD results, that the M$ CSO probably
reports to MonkeyBoy's assistant psychopharmacologist.
His directives get mixed up with orders for Lithium and
Thorazine.
AND, what's this about "... the Bush administration
signed off on the final version of the United States'
strategy for protecting the Internet and securing
information systems."
"FINAL" version? From activity thus far, they're not even
at v1.0. This is still alpha... - Posted by: dicktaurus@... Posted on: 11/11/03 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
