Exactly the point. Everyone is looking to blame everyone BUT the real offender. Microsoft is more culpable in this than anyone else. Granted, it is irresponsible for unsuspecting unknowing users to leave their machines wide open. But they should not have to become techies in order to operate PCs no more than the average person should know how to repair a car should something go wrong. There is a reason why we get paid to do this stuff, and that is because not everyone can do it. It would be ridiculous for ISPs to cut users' net access. These people are PAYING for this service! How would you justify denying them their service? Trying to claim that their machine was part of an attack against the RIAA website, so now the unknowing user has to be reprimanded?? Ridiculous! Take note that most computer users don't know how to secure their machines. The ISPs would be playing games with the majority of their customer base! Try getting the CEOs and top management convinced that this would be a good idea!
