Runaway intelligence is smart?
What tests for chemicals or radioactivity would reveal mass graves or conventional aircraft buried in the sand?

Are mass graves a hazard to large groups of people who are still living, i.e. could they be used as weapons? Would stepping on a buried MiG cause massive or widespread loss of life? Will these tests for WMDs, if performed by inspectors who are supposed to be looking for actual weapons, rather than artifacts of a corrupt regime that aren't in themselves deadly, increase the security of Microsoft and Dell products and services?

Because the President is in the IQ range of 94 to 100 do you feel he needs your help to defend his policy decisions? Should you actually do this just because you can, or think you can?

If a system of intelligence, human or otherwise, is fed worthless data, what would it's output be (garbage in, garbage out)?

The limits on where inspectors could go was the reason that Clinton pulled them out (and began a bombing campaign in retribution), not the reason that the new inspection team didn't find anything. The new team went where they wanted without notifying the Iraqis which caused some severe upsets when they showed up unannounced at various military or manufacturing sites or interviewed scientists without advance notice.

Tariq Aziz said that they couldn't refute the inventories of WMDs and materials they were confronted with because they kept records so poorly and were unable to document what they destroyed. Saddam, not that he should be believed, stated many times that they had no WMDs. Does that mean the the ADMISSION by Saddam to having them is correct or that his denials are false? IS SCO harboring WMDs because they repudiate their public statements shortly after they make them? Is that why they won't show their evidence?

Yes, Saddam was trying to restart his WMD programs. Would he need to do that if he already had an existing, functional one in place? If you say what you believe to be true and it it isn't, is that a lie? Should we invade the Vatican because the Pope cannot document the existence of God or verify his destruction as a threat to our Constitution since He will overthrow all worldly authority and transform the world to suit His own purposes?

Will Bill Gates resume his predatory practices in 2006 with the release of Longhorn if we don't bomb Redmond now? Will Michael Dell degrade the quality of American life by selling mass quantities of crappy desktop computers? Should we bomb Roundrock before that happens? Is there a political Right or Left to any of these questions and aren't those distinctions only meaningful within the context of American politics and not in the arena of Truth and Justice for human kind? When two grotesquely provincial powers come into conflict is either one necessarily correct?

People who spin around in circles inside their own heads and blame it on outside influences are suffering from poor self image and are not as bad off as they tell themselves but can't see their way clear to break out of the spiral.

Don't blame the Left for ZDNet reporting on MS and Dell ; they did it for their own reasons and readers responded in kind.
