Andrew Donoghue article I assume is nothing more than to remind us that computer systems in gneral are at risk. To highlight the iPod by itself is rather silly - what about CD's, DVD's, Memory sticks and even the good ol' floopy.

Make the story more generic and highlight the risks. Before we moved to XP we were an NT system and when NT came to USB support - well it didnt. Leaving Floppies and CD's as the primamry way to take data.

Can you disable XP's support for USB and what can you do to keep people taking compnay data of other media such as CD's is a better line.

But at the end of the day the company generally accept the risk offsetting it against the employee's flexibility in getting the job done. Cut that off and watch the projects slide to the right.

Honestly I thought ZDnet would come up with better articles - this is quite dissappointing - it should have served as a reminder not as a pot shopt at ipod
