Absolutely!
IPSec is a nightmare. It's huge, it's bloated,
and 9 out of 10 people would perfer to eat spam
rather than use IPSec. SSL is much faster a
more practical.

Long live SSL. Of course UNIX/Linux have been
using SSH for secure remote access forever. SSH
doesn't use SSL, but the two are very similar in
thier encryption technique.
