If you still rely on virus scanners to catch every virus that could harm you, you are a moron. What you said is true, and there are many casulties in the war, but all of them are morons. The best defense against viri isn't a firewall (that's for worms and exploits), it isn't antivirus scanners, its "Common F'ing Sense." In today's online world, if you receive an executable file in an email, you would have to be a moron to open it, end of story. In your scenario, I couldn't get hit, because I'm not dumb enough to open up an email attachment unless I specifically requested someone to send me one, and even then, I exercise caution.

I will repeat my original comment now, if you get a virus from an email attachment, in today's world, you are nothing short of a moron.
