Sheesh

This is one of the dumbest posts I've read in this forum, and I've read some doozies between the Microsoft-Unix zealots.

Seriously, do you honestly believe that anyone who gets infected with a worm or virus is an idiot? There are lot's of very smart folks out there who simply want to use their computer for something fun and maybe productive who have neither the time nor the inkling to deal with hardware firewalls and all that crap.

Why should my mother, who just wants a few knitting patterns from her knitting buddies and knitting web sites, have to be concerend with all of this? She's not a moron.

The smartest fellow I know (one of the physicians down the hall from my office) got infected last week and I spent two hours getting his computer cleaned up. I assure you he is not a moron.

The immaturity of your post makes me suspect that you are probably about 16 years old and you think you have all of the answers for the rest of the moronic adults in the world. I assure you that you do not.

There are literally millions of well-intentioned folks out there who are getting caught by the increasingly sophisticated bad guys.

They're not all morons.
