Echo that...

I echo that, thx_1138. Though, the persona responding did not necessarily need to add sympathetic commentary about the victims, I do think that the sentiments about 'infection' is something that we, as a intelligent society, must not endorse.

However, it was a funny statement, the infection bit.

And, I don't have much sympathy for the perpetrator or his cohorts. So, if an ill will occurs while in prison, well then, as I said before, poetic justice.

On the other hand and back to my response to your comment, I echo your thoughts. I just responded to a blog where soooo many people were sympathizing with the rights of prisoners (though all humans have rights, imho), that they seem to forego the rights and the justice deserved for the victims. It is, yes, frustrating to read how others will support the rights of criminals over the rights of innocent law abiding citizens.

Criminals still have rights because they are human beings (arguably so). However, given a choice, I choose the rights of the innocent citizen and, of course, the victims of such crimes.
