Doesn't matter how you count
Or even if you can.

There is not a single instance of a virus or trojan that has successfully attacked a
Mac. There have been a couple of programs, like this, that have been installed by
dimwitted users, but nothing has been able to spontaneously insinuate itself into
the system. Even the big-timr c|net attack farce wasn't able to - this type of trojan
was about the best they can do.

It comes down to one critical difference between Windows and OS X, and it's not
market share but design. The real ******** operations of OS X are not a part of the
desktop system, and it's very dificult to breach the program firewall between the
two. The desktop really does ride "on top" of the OS. Windows is integrated into
most all applications. Whether you're using Word or MSIE or Solitaire, you're not
just making calls on the system, you're also inside Windows.

Vulnerability is the key to the creation of viruses, and why Windows is a favorite
target; it's the path of least resistance. A bully in the school yard builds a
reputation picking on the weak kids, not by taking on the toughest kid in school.
If he attacks a strong kid and loses, his reputation - and fear factor - is ruined.
Same rule applies to these hackers.

Who would you rather pick a fight with: Howie Long or Howie Mandel?
