- This is true, in my case I get most of my spam from US based ISP email addresses. This can be be useful - only a complete cretin would believe that a lottery based in some european country would notify a winner from a hotmail.com account, or that a sick and bereved Nigerian willing to give away millions of dollars would send their email from a US based ISP. Of course, most of my spam comes from penis/breast enlargers, mortgage lenders, and pimps (Sex date sites).
