How biased can you get... inflating the truth by over 300%!!!! The bill that Bush vetoed would have added more incentives for states to favor families with total income under $60K. This was added after New York had requested federal approval to include large families with up to $80K of total income, but that had already been turned down, even under the law that expires soon.
There are many families with 2, 3 or 4 kids who cannot qualify for a family discount on a plan, especially when one or both of the parents is/are already in poor health, which would run the price up to $1-2K per month. So, they are faced with paying $3-400 for individual plans for each child, because they work in jobs without any health coverage. Even at $60-80K, that's just not affordable. Nobody ever proposed coverage for any family earning $200K. That's just falsified fear-mongering. - Posted by: ITSecurityGuy Posted on: 10/20/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
