The average time to make a fix on an operating system other than Windows, Gates said, is "typically 90 to 100 days."

"You know, today we have it down to less than 48 hours," he said.

Did he just say OTHER operating systems take an average of 90-100 days to release a patch, but MS does it in 48 hours? ok.. i want to know who messed up his notes and reversed that data.

Does he actually read the calander differences between when MS is alerted to a problem by a security company, the number of weeks till that company releases the patch to the public... and the drag time till MS releases a patch/statement?

Did he realize that more than one patch took something like six months to release recently?
