They have had since '96 when Exploder was released into the wild!
Perhaps you were not using computers then? It has been almost 10 years with this problem (and some of us even recall with the Morris worm back on November 3, 1988)!

Exploder was an ActiveX control that could carry a payload that would format ones harddrive, all you had to do was visit the site with IE!
