I agree, switch to anything else!
I went to Mac twice, once way back when 98 was new, and a second chance when all the stuff was "fixed" in W-2000.
I'll stickto the less popular OS, simply because i am a graphics and photo teacher, and I need to be able to get work done NOW, and so do the students.
I have no patience for machines that need constant maintenance.

I have a lab full of Macs, and one with Dell GX620's. Besides the dubious quality of the 620's, in the first 6 weeks of school, I lost 9 of 24 machines to Virii, bad motherboards and poor quality. All backed by McAffee to boot. All 24 G# and G4's work fine, and share the net with the other machines.

I feel bad for consumers who do not have an Administrator to keep on top of the problems from day to day.

I, myself, have no time in my life, with 4 kids, a mortgage, bills and field sports for the kids, to do maintenance on my computers at home. They are all Macs, one being a Unix flavor for learning the OS, and they all work from day to day just fine.

We have one Windows unit that is at home, for some lawyer software my wife uses, and it is isolated from the net. Works great for being an isolated machine. I suppose it would last ten minutes if she were to surf with it!
