I am an American and Caining would be nice to bring in from another country. Between embarrasment and the pain that your deeds wrote a check your butt had to cash, might also be involked for some of the minor identity theft cases. Jail is not the answer because i have to pay to feed and put a roof over these peoples heads while they have removed the food and the roof from over my head for their stealling of my crdit or my bank account.
So i agree Jail is not always the answer. NAME SOME OTHER PUNISHMENTS YOU THINK THEY SHOULD GET. SLAPPING ON THE HANDS AND LETTING THEM BACK OUT IS NOT A DETURANT EITHER.
