.scr in this instance is NOT and never was a screen saver file, it is and always has been a SCRipt file. If people were accustomed to seeing and looking for the file extensions they could be smarter about this kind of crap, but Microsoft for some reason thinks we need to be kept in the dark. (Mushroom syndrome - feed us a bunch of horse crap once in a while and keep us in the dark . . . )
