You don't have to run Office
You can run OpenOffice, Word Perfect, or the new Lotus Symphony, all of which do not support these types of attacks.

Or you can run Office on a Mac and have all of 10 viruses/malware vs. the MILLIONS for Windows.

However, maybe once the Execs get bitten by yet another MS vulnerability they will demand the CIO move off Windows. Or fire them for gross negligence in supporting Windows.
