I'm guessing you don't get (m)any faxes via your PC there. That's the primary domain for TIFF files now, and they're still quite common in business.

As far as the damage here being minimal, perhaps. Still, better not to get too cavalier of an attitude about it, lest you want to get bit in the backside by that one little security hole you underestimated. One man's paranoia is another's healthy caution. Preparedness overcomes "fear tactics".

As for the "Badbunny" virus . . . Yeah, I remember hearing about it, but I don't recall it being all that active in the wild. Guess it was more of a proof of concept than anything necessarily virulent. Not much to write home about, that one, which is probably why you never heard of it.
