Symantec warns users over Bluetooth security

And where are the Security Suites?!: OK, so Mr Ooi Szu-Khiam suggests that "To ensure their wireless devices are well-protected, ..., users can equip their gadgets with mobile-security products, which include anti-virus, firewall, anti-SMS spam and data-encryption technologies"

Mr Ooi WORKS for Symantec; and -- despite this -- he suggests a solution that his own company cannot actually fully back!

Symantec was supposed to release "Norton Mobile Security Suite 5.0" to the public back in May 2007; regretfully, that product is still to come ...

True, the Symantec Mobile Security Suite 5.0 seems to be available already, but... ONLY to employees of companies that incorporate this solution as a matter of policy; what about the much larger number of Bluetooth-enabled devices that are in the hands of private people, that happen not to be employed by such an early-adopter company?

Hopefully, before making such recommendations, Mr Ooi should make sure that his own company, that specializes in Security products, would have it's offering ready available to the public ...

It may be interesting to know Mr Ooi's opinion on this.
