standard of living?

What planet are you LIVING on? Mass production factories don't RAISE the standards of living in these countries. In fact all it does raise is the death toll from factories that don't protect workers & work these people into the ground so you can pay pennies on the dollar & live like royalty. I suppose you're in favor of clear cutting forests to put up these factories too. And by the way... the word "communist" comes from the root word community. Something you live in which makes you a "communist". Do you drive a car? On city streets? With city lighting? Do you demand rights to community wide services like having electric poles to your home? Water lines to your home? Then you are a communist. You rely on a community. Do you expect laws to safeguard yourself & your family from violence? That's communist. Anything BUT total anarchy is communal thinking. We all rely on getting along with our fellow man. We all rely on our fellow man allowing us to live in freedom. That's communism. I'm so sick of ignorant people dragging out tired old fear mongering jargon to ignite hatred among us all. I'm not the kind of "communist" you refer to. I'm not anything but a human being. I'm not so weak I feel the need to label myself & others. I don't need anyone to define who I am. Thanfully, I'm smart enough to know that if it wasn't for the community all getting along & working together my life would be very hard & pretty worthless. It's people who think they are the owners of their fellow man who speak in such terms as this & it's repulsive. I have a much better idea for you... I hear the USA is just full of lazy fat people who can manufacture goods by getting their own hands dirty for a change. Maybe it's time to support OURSELVES & bring up the standard of living HERE! So if you want something why don't you make it your own **** self. Maybe it would make you appreciate the things you have a lot more! I just love how everyone's answer to something that doesn't work is just to move it somewhere else & make the same old mistakes. The definition of stupidity is making the same mistake over & over again but expecting a different result. The only way to correct this mistake is to start paying fair market values for goods. Anything less is THEFT no matter how you slant it. You're view here is the EXACT view that plantation slave owners had when they heard that slavery should be abolished. They kept insisting they were helping the slaves by housing them & feeding them & beating some sense into them & giving them something useful to do with their time. It never crossed their minds it was just plain WRONG! How horrible it was to them to suggest they should PAY for work! Let alone suggest they should pay the same wage as white men received. (and we STILL are struggling with that mindset) After all wasn't boarding them up in shacks & giving them rags to wear being generous? That is the same mindset you have here. How elitist of you to suppose that slave labor in a hot factory & crowded into "dorms" stacked on each other like animals in cages is a higher standard of living than life working the land outdoors with fresh air & space to live. Obviously, you've never had hardship in your life or seen it or you would not think it's good enough for someone else to live but not yourself. I wouldn't treat a dog the way you are suggesting these people bring up their standard of living! We need some kind of special "boot camp" for people like you. Simulate the exact working & living conditions the factory workers go through for a couple of weeks & see if you still feel the same way on the other side of that two weeks. I'd bet you wouldn't.
