Sony pleads innocent in latest rootkit fiasco

Also used to like Sony

but they have at least a decade plus of these missteps and intentional actions, in their divisions. Sony's been a part of price fixing of CD prices, trying to force their tech when the public has looked and gone the other way, is or was an active member of the RIAA for better or worse, has clubbed and killed a fair number of emulator and mod chip makers and resellers regarding the Sony Playstation (though they curiously opened up giving a Linux kit for said unit <>open to close actions), has threatened programmers who 'dare' tried to sell behavior software for its toy robotic dog (before Sony could and did), then there's the rootkit on CDs thing that sparked the biggest news and consumer light on their actions (other than the CD class action case). Some love Sony as much as they do a Microsoft .
