Zombie Attack (if that is what it was)
It is apparent that there is a lot of uninformed or ill informated speculation being banded about.
Would it not be more profitable for one of the bigger instrumentes of security (FBI, CIA etc to investigate why and then who?
Access denial affects all users and is an attack on them all. The clever pratts that think they are so wonderful that for their views or beliefs or own commercial interests thay can mess with the freedoms of other users should be hunted and exposed to the due legal processes backed by all the commercial system operators and ISPs.
Cut out the Windows v Open Accessslanging matches and grow up. Fight this evil with every weapon at the disposal of the world network.
You commercial fans of Windows and Linux act like spoilt kids. Lets have some real technical input to advise what we can do as individuals. There is too much psuedo technical rubbish on here.
Perhaps a simple measure like everyone having a a firewall and a couple of good AV programs would be a good start.
The ISPs are already trying to stop this form of attack with the means at their disposal.
Better housekeeping by all users will help reduce the problem and may even prevent it!
All users think long and hard what you can do to help knock this on the head.
