I'm not slinging mud ... just stating the obvious attack vector
If script kiddies can create a zombie some of the kits were built by real bad guys, not benevolent uber-geeks.

Some of the kits and a lot of rogue traffic trace back to regions of the world known to be terrorist havens (like Pakistan). It seems like some folks may be studying more than just the Koran, but, maybe I'm wrong.

In any case, the combination of zombie networks and moles inside major corporations is quite scary .

If they decided to conduct a real cyber attack they would try to maximize damage ... both cyber and physical.

But then, maybe this was just a bug in Akamai's SW!
