The victoms usually don't want the publicity, and the perpetrators won't brag if they want to stay out of prison.

Most exploits via wi-fi are usually oriented toward burying deep into the network to create a backdoor to allow better access via hardwired methods. Also, simply snorting the air traffic an attacker gains a much clearer picture of the target's security posture...which by itself is worth a lot. Loose lips sinks ships.
