Depends on how good it is
If it slows the PC too much where another AV software package doesn't you can bet people will switch. Right now people ditch Norton all the time because of that even though Norton came installed on thier PC. I've even seen people take thier PC in to get re-installed to get rid of Norton.

By the way Netscape killed themselves. Microsoft was just there with the better product. Back in the day software, ISP, and what ever came with Netscape bundled with thier packages. Just when Netscape communicator came it blew chunks so bad that IE didn't have to do much to surpass it. Coparing Netscape Nav 4.5 to IE 4.5 Netscape was better hands down. After that version they went downhill big time.
