subtle difference in intent is all we are talking about: Creating a virus is much different than installing a "content" delivery toolbar.

OK, so spyware limits its malicious use of your computer ... but it looks almost identical to a rootkit trojan which can be used to remote control your machine. Wouldn't be surprised if many of the adware stuff was simply the initial stages of a cyber attack ...

problem here is certain vendors make it possible ... then the government creates exceptions which allow its use by them but outlaw its use by others ... hmm, if its bad it should not be designed into the "experience" then have its usage reqgulated on an "honor" basis!; Posted by: oldskool Posted on: 06/10/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
