Agreed 100%
It makes me wonder who really is the terrorist within our borders. Could it be our own Government? Is it big business? Is it both?

George Orwell and Aldous Huxley were to very foresighted writers. In fact Huxley wrote to Orwell, "Within the next generation I believe that the world's leaders will discover that infant conditioning and narco-hypnosis are more efficient, as instruments of government, than clubs and prisons, and that the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience".(p. 605:quotes Aldous Huxley re Huxley's opinions in 1949 about the technologies to be employed by governments)"

Is this not what's exactly happening now? Instead of drugs it's consumerism in technology. When we adopt the technologies the Government wants to step in and be big businesses watch dog.

Maybe instead of worrying about P2P, both Waxman and Paul Hodes should start concerning themselves with real issues such as health care, the humongous national debt, environmental issues.

Leave P2P to the consumers who will decide it's fate. If RIAA et al don't like, they'll just have to grown up and fight their own battles.
