What if it is abused?
Another thing to worry about is if this 'government sanctioned spyware' is abused by the very people who we are trusting with it, in order to get back at people who the government has a problem with (people who speak out against the government, people who speak out against laws that violate essential human rights, etc.).

Any spyware on a machine, governmental or not, should be detected by the anti-spyware and anti-virus portions of a program made for security purposes, and REMOVED, period and done with.
