just a theory
The military fights wars. That's what they do,
that's what they're for and that's what they want.
To fight wars, you need practice, preferably at low
cost, to iron out the bugs. The training, tanks and
tactics need updating under combat conditions.
Enter the "Moslem Fanatics". Perfect. Here we have
an armed, motivated group that will fight when
provoked. So, they get provoked and the military
takes full advantage of the limited war that
follows. Thousands of troops, tanks and try this
and that get training and tested while the Military
keeps getting exactly what it wants: A low cost
test everything war. Now suppose that the
"Moslem Fanatics" were to see how they're being
played and suddenly smarten up and say. "We've
decided to go for a political solution and stop
fighting." Where would the next terrorist act come
from? Peace is not what the Military wants. It
provides them nothing and make justifying their
existance, especially at high levels, impossible to
justify. Remember this: The military breaks things
and kills people. It does not just fade away.
