Hit the nail on the head with some statements

You hit the nail on the head with some of your statements. The one about the number of deaths due to car accidents in one year compared to all the people killed in terrorist attacks in America all through our history most of all.

People are going to have to learn and realize that they are NEVER going to be absolutely safe on this planet, and that we should NOT give up some of our rights, because most times we give up those rights and WE ARE NO SAFER FOR IT!

The Patriot Act made us no safer in reality, it was ALREADY hard to carry out a terrorist attack BEFORE 9/11 with all the security that the airlines had.
The terrorists and Al-Qaida just happened to send people over here this time who were able to fool our security people. That is going to happen again, but there isn't really anything we can do to stop that.
What we CAN do is put armed plainclothes Air Marshals on every plane, and have them there to stop the terrorists. Or, better yet, train and arm the stewards and stewardesses on the planes.
