Not sure WHAT to think (or believe)
Coming from Los Angeles, I know that the police ALREADY have no good reasons to 'profile' a person of color (I am BLACK) and I have had MANY guns drawn, been puled over, car searched THROUGHOUT my young life in LA. However, this does not mean I do not agree with a system that MIGHT offer SOME protection against terrorist. However, let me also remind us all that the whole reason for 'terrorism' is to inspire TERROR! Yes, we are a 'free' nation (talking about America now), and yes, we lost MANY people on 9/11. Yes, we have also lost MANY people to this current 'War on Terror'. LET ME MAKE THIS PERFECTLY CLEAR - the number killed in Afgahnistan, Iraq, AND the Twin Towers STILL have yet to equal the number of people killed on the highways of America over this same time period1 Yet, we aren't making a 'War on Drivers'! The number of killings a month STILL outnumber the number killed in THIS country per month! (and only 'local' coverage of those killings at that!)
Sure we can holler about the deaths in Iraq, in Afgahnistan, etc. but what kind of heartless SOBs are we that THOSE deaths are 'more' important than the ones right here at home?!?!

Sorry, I do tend to get riled up about this when someone brings up numbers of deaths and terrorism in general. THIS could have been TOTALLY done with inside of THREE months IF it was NOT turned into a political tug of war! When one send the soldiers to war,
