- Disappointment in Iphone; Solution to Java flaw already implemented.
-
I was depressed yesterday owing to Iphone's inability to run Java applets. The quote of the year:
Jobs: ?Java?s not worth building in. Nobody uses Java anymore. It?s this big heavyweight ball and chain.?
But today the gloves are off. I am mad as hell and am not taking this anymore.
Mighettto: "No device connecting to the Web is worth purchasing if it does not support Java applets. Apple will be toast within two years unless it changes its applet hating ways"
How strange a company named Apple is bad mouthing something called applets. Go with the flow Steve or parish. Microsoft looks better than ever now. Let the apes sling dung. Steve take this applet Applet APPLET. I bet he is spitting up his star bucks about now.
The church of the future of software design is now open. Let us remind attendees that AJAX will never provide the rich user interface afforded by applets (No one has been able to show me any AJAX with sounds when there is an entry error for example).
Google is currently hiring every one it can find with Java experience in Seattle. Microsoft is now throwing out the applet word. It is just such a good stick-it-to-the-man Jobs word. This word makes Jobs twitch every time it is spoken because - Jobs was never wrong. Never wrong until now. And he is oh so so wrong - this article not withstanding. Possible more wrong than Bill Gates ever was.
The solution to whatever the Java flaw is; is the solution to all security threats has already been implemented You Run the software - even the Java VM software - inside another VM. VMware is like Winchester. The expression a Winchester gun makes us all equal applies. VMware is such a Winchester gun.
Note: The Iphone embedded Java deploys such a gun. Jobs can still recover if his ego permits it. The embedded Java in iPhone runs inside an embedded non-java Virtual machine. No security flaw by my way of thinking.
Oh let us pray - it is all a dream. Jobs is not the Anti Christ. He did not fool us into thinking Gates the Anti Christ. Both Jobs and Gates will GET OUT OF THE WAY. The future is now. It is Java applets. - Posted by: mighetto Posted on: 07/13/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
