ugh!
That's where you draw the line between Windows and Mac OS X.

Your quoting differences between Unix and Windows security architecture that have no real bearing on the potential security of either system. So you can create more than one admin account in Windows. So? I'd call that flexibility. So non-root users cannot modify system files in OSx. Trying reading my other posts here - you'll find that the behavior in windows is exactly the same.

So "admin" is different from "root" in OSX. So? "Power Users" are different from "administrators" in Windows, but their respective abilites compared to "admin" and "root" in MacOSX are probably very similar.

"On top of ALL of that, Mac OS X 10.3 also has File Vault that will allow you to encrypt all your data with even one more "master" password that even root can't use, you have to know the password to decrypt and use the files."

File encryption is built into Windows too, though it's controlled by certificates (which are controlled by passwords) instead of passwords. If you desire encryption and want a password protecting it, there are a several free and comercial third party tools that do so.

Simply put, Mac OS X is more secure than Windows. Period.

You havn't said anything to prove that statement, but I'm not going to argue with you. I'm a big fan of the BSD OS's and since MacOSX is built upon BSD it's got to be pretty secure. I never said that OSX wasn't more secure than Windows. I was only pointing out the false assumptions made about Windows.
