I got your logic... RIGHT HERE!!
It is "Fords" fault cause they don't give you access to the lug nuts to replace the tire. Instead they say "Bring 'er in to the dealership, and we'll patch that tire for ya. And while we're at it, we'll roll back the odometer. And if the tire still falls off, why, all you have to do is buy a newer Ford, and that will definitely solve the problem". Wow!!! Thanks, that's totally what I wanted to do. Spend more money. Linux on the other hand gives you access to the lug nuts, motor, and anything else you want access to. Therefore, instead of my tire falling off at 33,333 miles cause the lug nuts have come loose, I'll just tighten them myself (close any unnecessary ports). Oh, and here's the best part. It costs you.... oh yes, that's right... NOTHING!!!!!! And don't tell us about how if it isn't configured right, it's just as at risk as windows. The only way that can happen is if the user is running as root, and the happen to execute a program designed for Linux that somehow kept is executible attributes. Chances of all of those things combined are slim to none. But on windows, even if you're the grand master ninja user, you still can't close/open any ports you want. Basically, windows in a good gaming platform, and a "point & click" IT guy's solution. But for real productivity, and security you just can't beat Linux/Unix.
