Pretty much true....
True, the world is full of stupid people that don't belong on the internet. If it wasn't for stupid people, spam wouldn't exist. You know... that 1 percent (or whatever it is) that actual reply to spam.

However, the computer world is also full of ignorant people that just plain don't know any better. I suppose you have to try and protect them from themselves.

Anyone Clicking Links In unsolicitited e-mails deserve what they get for being stupid
