Arrested for what?
All right, somebody help me out here:

What law did he break?
Can you state even the ethical/moral principle he violated?
Who did he harm by his actions?

I realize that something bad happened, but I don't think he was guilty of causing it. He helped enable it, but was not the one who took any aggressive action.

I have only this report to guide me, I don't know any more details of the case, but I would guess his guilt in this matter is analogous (certainly not equivalent) to one who left a gun around the house that was used by a criminal. Actually, I'm not sure of the best analogy. But I think even one who sells guns to criminals or loans a gun to a criminal is not arrested in a murder, unless they've violated some other specific law.

And that's my problem. First the law has to be written, debated, and passed before people should be arrested for violating it.

If there is a law against giving angry people ideas about how they can harm someone else, then there are a lot of popular authors out there that need to be arrested.
