That is very funny statement about the known contributors.
MS --hopefully-- knows WHO is on board in design and
development and they STILL CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO
FIX THEIR CODE, even after countless iterations. Actually
the quality of the code reveals that the teams cannot
cooperate in any reasonably useful way and the code is
broken in so many possible ways.

So:

(1) uknown hijacker + good system ==> problem caught
automatically and resolved with a minor effort without
damage;

(2) known contributors + crappy system ==> problems
cannot get caught and resolution takes exorbitant effort
and damage is done in global scale;

Yes, it is .. obvious that the (1) does not work well
especially as compared to (2)....:)
