How stupid are these people?
There is nothing private about non encrypted email. Email is a
postcard, not a letter. Anyone along the route can intercept and
read email with very simple technology.

In effect this law is saying that it is illegal for me to listen to a
conversation that is being shouted across a crowded room.

Does this mean the FBI has to quit using Carnivore to read
everyone in California's email?
