It's not a worm. The virus must be purposely executed by a user, or through some unrelated vulnerability (IE/OE come to mind) and then it runs in the security space of the user that executes it - just like any other virus. The only difference is the code of the virus is 64bit code, and therefore can only effective spread iteself by targeting 64bit executable files.
