"if I fly on a Boeing passenger aircraft and the engine fails, I can sue Boeing AND the engine manufacturer for injuries if the plane crashes."

But it is an aircraft engine designed and dedicated to a specific task to be used in a specific way with regular and specific maintenance. Take the engine and put it in your car and kill yourself and they have no responsibility.

Now do you really want software companies dictating the hardware paltform and the use you may put their product too? I sure don't!!!!!
